For once, we are using the word “exponential” correctly. The COVID cases are, indeed, spreading exponentially. Sing in the tune of the Thomas theme song, the one that has the word “shunting” in the lyrics. Note: The first line is a reference to one of the most famous exponential sequences, namely “1, 2, 4, 8,” the first few powers of two, which double each term.
