On June 22 Tesla is about to release their much anticipated robo taxi service. Many are left to wonder if they are going to use drivers inside the cabs since their using level 2 automation.
They are going to try to release it in Austin Texas first, which is a progressive city, and is willing to host this. Tesla will be competing with Waymo and uber and other modes of transportation.
Tesla’s Elon Musk says he’s very excited for the release, as is investors. The stock(TSLA) has gone up quite a bit since after the tesla protests started in January 2025.
According to Elon Musk, he will start small first and then expand the service. Tesla is trying to pivot from being a car company only and is trying to be a tech/AI.
