On Monday, The Sun reported that an easyJet pilot was suspended after allegedly being spotted intoxicated and naked in a hotel in Cape Verde. The publication did not identify the pilot.
The incident in question initially occurred on August 4 and early into August 5, where the pilot engaged in what The Independent called a “drinking session.” He then allegedly proceeded to strip naked and entered the reception area ― and subsequently the gym and spa areas.
The pilot was supposed to fly passengers back to the United Kingdom the following day ― 36 hours later. The pilot was suspended after easyJet passengers noticed his behavior and raised concern. A representative for the company stated that the incident would be investigated.
