Two warships of the People’s Liberation Army navy, which were trying to “sandwich” a smaller Filipino patrol boat, end up colliding in the South China Sea. A Chinese ship hit another Chinese ship like a “ram”. It can be seen on video that a bigger Chinese ship had hose(s) that was ejecting water before and after the collision. There may or may not be casualties on the Chinese side. After the collision, the Filipinos offered to help the injured person/ people, but the Chinese did not respond.

In response to the journalists, the Chinese authorities stated that they were carrying out “enforcement activities in the waters of Huangyan Dao“. That place is also known as the “Scarborough Shoal”.
