On Sunday, The Washington Post reported that Former US President Jimmy Carter died at age 100 at his residence in Plains, Georgia, according to his son James E. Carter III.
The Carter Center also confirmed his death via X.
Carter spent the last two years of his life recieving end of life care, and made his final public appearance in late 2023.
Carter is the record-holder for longed-lived US president.
We won the Nobel Peace Prize.
