The US senate passed an amended continuing resolutions bill Monday, November 10th, 60-40. the bill passed primarily along partisan lines, only 8 members of the senate Democratic caucus voted in favor of the bill whilst only 1 Republican, Rand Paul of Kentucky voted against the budget.

The bill will be voted on by the house Wednesday, Nov 12th.

The US Government entered a shutdown on October 1st, 2025 and has been in the shutdown since then, approx. 900,000 employees have been furloughed and another 2,000,000 have worked without pay. the USDA said they would not issue SNAP benefits for the month of November.
