After three weeks of a border dispute resulting in the deaths of 47 soldiers, Thailand and Cambodia have agreed on a ceasefire, banning reinforcements and letting civilians return to their homes.
The ceasefire started on 05:00 GMT on Saturday. After 72 hours, 18 Cambodian hostages since July will be released. The ceasefire was the result of discussions between the two countries and encouragement from China and the United States.
