Pune, September 3, 2025 — Atharva Deore, a 17-year-old student from Pune, has successfully completed one year as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Deore had joined the party on 3 September 2024 at the age of 16, under the leadership of senior BJP leader Sachin Dalvi, at Dalvi’s office.
Coming from a political family, Deore chose not to follow the path of his grandmother, who has been associated with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) for the past 37 years. Instead, he cited his RSS-inclined ideology as the reason behind joining the BJP.
Within just a year, Deore has reportedly taken part in several organizational activities and campaigns, earning recognition for his efforts. During this period, he has also been selected for two positions: former president of BJP’s Yuva Warrior unit and president of BJP’s College and Sports Wing.
Party members say his work has contributed to strengthening BJP’s grassroots presence in the region.
