On Thursday, the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office said they had found human remains in the woods in an area south of Leavenworth, Washington that they believe belong to Travis Decker, 32, the man charged with murdering his three daughters.

They said: “While positive identification has not yet been confirmed, preliminary findings suggest the remains belong to Travis Decker.”

His daughetrs initially went missing on May 30. The bodies of the three girls were found at a Washington campsite on June 2. Decker’s truck was found abandoned nearby with “bloody handprints,” according to People. This resulted in Decker being charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of kidnapping.

Decker was a US Army veteran.
