A major fire broke out this evening at the Revolver Hotel in Glasgow city centre.
Emergency services were alerted around 6:20pm on Saturday.
The fire is described as “well-developed” and located on the fourth floor of the Revolver Hotel.
The Revolver Hotel occupies the space over the Polo Lounge nightclub, and includes its rooftop terrace housing gym equipment, a hot tub, and sauna amenities.
Images and videos on social media show flames pouring from the roof of the building.
Eleven fire appliances are attending the scene.
Seven fire engines and two high-reach appliances have been mobilized to the Merchant City area.
Firefighters are using aerial ladders to tackle the blaze.
Trades Hall, House of Gods Hotel, Spires Serviced Suites, and Homeless Project Scotland have been removed from the area for safety reasons.
All traffic has been blocked on Glassford Street from Ingram Street to Trongate.
Wilson Street has also been closed to road users and pedestrians.
There are no reports of any injuries.
The situation is ongoing, with emergency services still working to bring the fire under control.
