My name is Idris Abdullah. The name of my father is Abdullah, and the name of my mother is Sadiat. I was born on the 14th of March, 2006, into a modest and disciplined family that valued education, hard work, and faith. My childhood was shaped by the love and guidance of my parents, who always believed that every child has the potential to achieve greatness when given the right foundation.

Growing up, faith was another strong pillar in my life. Being raised in a Muslim household, I learned the importance of prayers, fasting, and living with humility. My faith kept me disciplined and gave me a sense of direction, especially during moments of doubt or confusion. It reminded me that success is not only about working hard but also about trusting in God’s plan.

Earlier Life

The very first school I attended was Iqra Primary School, located in Ilorin, Mandate Islamic Area. This school remains a special place in my heart because it was where I first discovered the joy of learning. My earliest memories include carrying my small school bag, writing my first letters, and standing with my classmates during assembly as we recited the national anthem and prayers. Those simple moments, though small, laid the foundation of who I would become.

At Iqra, I was known to be curious. I loved asking questions—sometimes too many for my teachers’ patience—but they always encouraged me. I wanted to know why the sky was blue, how birds could fly, and why we needed to learn mathematics. My curiosity became my strength. My teachers guided me, and I soon became one of the pupils who was always eager to answer questions in class.

Educational Stage

After completing primary school, I moved on to secondary education, which marked the beginning of a more serious academic journey. The subjects were no longer simple; they demanded hard work, discipline, and focus. Mathematics and English required deep attention, while sciences like Biology and Physics opened my mind to how the world works. Sometimes, the workload was overwhelming, but I never gave up.

Secondary school was also where I learned about friendship and teamwork. I met classmates from different family backgrounds, and we formed bonds that taught me loyalty, patience, and cooperation. Together, we studied, played football, shared food during lunch, and even encouraged one another when school life became tough. Not every day was easy. There were days when assignments piled up, or exams seemed impossible to pass, but with determination and support, I pressed forward.

My parents played a key role during this period. They were not the wealthiest, but they gave me what truly mattered: love, values, and encouragement. My father always reminded me that “education is a treasure no one can steal,” and my mother constantly prayed for my success. Their sacrifices made me determined to never disappoint them.

Career and Passion

As I matured, I began to notice my interest in technology and the digital world. I was fascinated by the internet and how people used platforms like YouTube to share knowledge, express themselves, and even earn money. What started as simple curiosity—watching videos after school—grew into a passion. I began to wonder: How do people get paid on YouTube? What makes some channels grow so fast? What is the secret to monetization?

These questions led me on a new journey. I started researching, learning, and experimenting with different ideas online. Slowly, I developed an interest in YouTube monetization, the process of turning a channel into a source of income. The idea that someone could create content, grow an audience, and make money from it fascinated me. It was not only about money—it was about freedom, creativity, and the ability to impact lives.

Of course, the journey was not easy. I faced challenges like lack of proper resources, limited internet access at times, and the skepticism of people who thought YouTube was “just for fun.” But I refused to give up. I studied harder, watched countless tutorials, practiced what I learned, and slowly built confidence in my skills.

Eventually, I realized that this passion was more than a hobby. It was something I could turn into a career. That was how I created my brand name, Alfanla. Under this brand, I began focusing on helping other people understand how to grow on YouTube, increase watch time, and unlock monetization. My dream was clear: to become a guide for content creators who wanted to succeed.

What makes me passionate about YouTube monetization is not just the technical side but also the human story behind it. I have seen creators who struggled for years without results, only to find success when they understood the right strategies. Helping them achieve their goals gives me joy, because I know I am contributing to their journey of financial independence and personal growth.

Despite the progress I have made, I never forget the challenges that shaped me. Growing up in a society where opportunities are limited taught me resilience. Sometimes, financial struggles made things difficult, but they also made me appreciate hard work. Sometimes, people doubted me, but their doubt became my fuel. Every setback became a lesson, and every lesson became a stepping stone.

Looking forward, I see myself achieving even greater things. My vision is to build a successful digital career, inspire young people, and show that anyone—no matter where they come from—can achieve success through consistency and learning. I want to expand Alfanla into a recognized brand that not only helps YouTubers but also empowers creators across different platforms.

I also dream of mentoring the younger generation. I want to teach them that the internet is more than just entertainment; it is a tool for education, growth, and financial empowerment. My long-term goal is to establish a platform where young creators can learn skills, get mentorship, and transform their ideas into businesses.

Today, as I look back on my journey from a curious child in Iqra Primary School, Ilorin, to a young man building his path in the digital world, I feel grateful. My life so far is proof that faith, family, education, and passion can shape a person’s destiny. I know my story is just beginning, and with determination, I will continue to grow, achieve, and inspire others.
