Indonesian social enterprise LindungiHutan received the Eco-Resilient Agent award during the Eco-Tech Pioneer and Sustainability Award (EPSA) 2025, held on Sunday (31/8) at Padma Hotel Semarang, Indonesia.
The award ceremony was organized by the Department of Environmental Engineering at Diponegoro University and aimed to recognize companies and organizations applying technological innovation to promote environmental resilience.
The Eco-Resilient Agent category, introduced this year, acknowledges initiatives seen as adaptable to climate-related challenges. Organizers said the recognition is intended for projects demonstrating measurable innovation, environmentally friendly systems, and sustained commitment.
EPSA 2025 was attended by university leaders, government officials, and more than 40 companies that support environmental programs. Among the guests were the mayor of Semarang, the governor of Central Java, and national environmental experts including Prof. Sudharto P. Hadi and Dr. Hanif Faisol Nurofiq.

Accepting the award, LindungiHutan CEO Miftachur “Ben” Robani said, “This achievement is thanks to the support of our team, donors, volunteers, and farmer partners across Indonesia.”
Founded in 2016, LindungiHutan has worked with local communities and volunteers on tree-planting initiatives in more than 30 sites, including Semarang, Banten, South Sulawesi, and the Thousand Islands. By 2024, the organization reported planting over one million trees in collaboration with more than 600 partners.
Organizers highlighted LindungiHutan’s use of digital tools such as crowdfunding and monitoring systems, which they said contributed to transparency and accountability in reforestation projects.
EPSA 2025 concluded with calls from organizers for greater collaboration between communities, universities, and businesses to address climate change and environmental degradation.
