Brett James, the man who wrote the carrie underwood track Jesus Take the Wheel died in a plane crash.
the plane crashed into a wooded area. Underwood herself referred to the incident as “just unfathomable”.
the cause of the crash is not currebtky known.
James is a Grammy winner. the track won for best country song. it was also nominated for song of the year.
underwood won american idol in 2005.
The FAA is investigating the incident.
