Order of Spiritual Equality established to honor global humanitarian and cultural contributions
GENEVA, August 9, 2025 – A new international interfaith award, the Order of Spiritual Equality, has been officially established to recognize individuals and organizations whose work in humanitarian aid, cultural development, and peacebuilding transcends religious and national boundaries.
Founded under the ordination of the Universal Life Church (ULC), the Order promotes the belief that all people are equal before God, regardless of faith, nationality, or background. The medal, inscribed with the words “For Mercy, Peace and Culture”, features a golden cross framed by olive branches – a universal emblem of reconciliation and hope.
According to the founding council, the initiative responds to a growing need for unity in a divided world. “This award is not just a decoration,” said the Presiding Pastor of the Church. “It is a call to action for compassion, dialogue, and cultural respect in every corner of the globe.”
The first recipients are expected to be announced during an online presentation ceremony later this year.
