Etawah, Uttar Pradesh – Pilua Mahaveer Hanuman Ji Temple, located near the banks of the Yamuna River in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh, has continued to attract a large number of devotees due to long-held religious beliefs and devotional practices associated with the shrine.
According to local residents and temple visitors, the temple is regarded as an ancient place of worship dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Devotees visit the site in large numbers, particularly on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and during the annual observance of Bada Mangal, which is considered auspicious in Hanuman worship.
Some devotees claim experiencing unusual devotional phenomena during prayers, including the belief that offerings placed before the deity diminish over time. These experiences are described by followers as expressions of faith, while religious scholars generally interpret them as part of collective belief systems and spiritual traditions.
The temple is situated approximately 10–12 kilometres from Etawah city and is accessible by local road transport. Due to increasing attention from visitors and coverage by digital and print media, the site has gained wider recognition beyond the local region.
Authorities have not issued any official statement regarding the religious claims, and no scientific verification has been conducted. However, the temple continues to function as an important religious and cultural centre for the local population.
