ShSMC Sandhani unit opens registration for 2023-24, draws large student turnout

Description: Dhaka, Bangladesh — The Sandhani unit at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College (ShSMC) officially opened its registration for the 2023-24 academic session on Sunday, attracting around 40 students from the SH-19 (MBBS) and SHD-13 (BDS) batches.

The registration event, held at the Sandhani unit room, was conducted under the supervision of Joint Finance Secretary-1 Arham Mushfiq and Joint Finance Secretary-2. Prospective members were briefed on Sandhani’s various voluntary and social activities.

Asaduzzaman Fardin, an SH-19 student who registered, provided his details as: “Roll 108, Section B, Blood Group B+, residing at ShSMC boys’ hostel.” He was among the dozens of students who signed up for the organization’s upcoming initiatives.

“Snacks were provided for all attendees, which created a welcoming atmosphere,” Fardin noted, describing the event’s proceedings.

The session primarily aimed to inform new students about Sandhani‘s mission and activities in voluntary blood donation and other social health services.
