On Monday, US President Donald Trump announced on social media that Susie Wiles, his 68-year-old chief of staff had diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. She stated that she intends to remain in her position while she received treatment. Trump stated in a post to Truth Social that her prognosis was “excellent”, though the specifics regarding her treatment had yet to be decided. Wiles has served in her position since Trump reassumed office in January of 2025. She had previously served as his campaign manager in the 2024 US presidential election the Florida campaign chair for Trump’s 2016 campaign. Before that, she had been associated with Republican politicians such as Mitt Romney and Rick Scott.
