United Nations officials convened on Monday amid escalating conflicts across Ukraine, warning that the war has reached its deadliest point since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022.
Rosemary DiCarlo, Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, informed Security Council members that recent months have seen some of the most extensive aerial bombardments of the conflict. She added that the humanitarian cost for civilians on both sides of the front lines continues to rise.
